What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 100+ compounds found in the cannabis sativa plant, which are known as phytocannabinoids or cannabinoids. CBD and THC are the two primary cannabinoids. CBD is non- psychoactive, meaning it does not get you ‘high’ and THC is psychoactive. CBD is found in abundance in the hemp variety of cannabis sativa and THC is naturally present in only a trace amount and is federally regulated, in the U.S., not to exceed 0.3%.
